GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

All new and existing subscribers shall, in using the service, be deemed to have consented and agreed to receive such Service on these Terms and Conditions and be accordingly bound. These Terms and Conditions can be found on our Vodafone website (www.vodafoneX.zone ), at authorized retail shops and accredited agencies or institutions.

 

These Terms and Conditions are in addition to specific terms and conditions for each product under Vodafone X as well as standard terms and conditions for Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited mobile services which could be found on our website. (www.vodafoneX.zone )

 

 

Use of the Service

We reserve the right to issue instructions regarding use of the Service as it may from time to time be   considered necessary to maintain the integrity, quality and safety of the Service for all Subscribers and such instruction shall be binding upon the Subscriber and be deemed to form an integral part of the Service.

The Subscriber is personally responsible for all use of the Service made from Subscriber equipment and shall neither use nor permit a third party to use Subscriber equipment, or the Service for:

            i.                  sending abusive, defamatory, hoax, offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing messages or communications; or

         ii.                  eavesdropping, intercepting or learning the contents of any message on another personÕs device on the Vodafone network; or

      iii.                  any usage that may cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to any person.

The Subscriber shall not use the Service in a way that infringes on the privacy rights of any other person or with another SubscriberÕs enjoyment of any Vodafone Services, or in a way that could interfere with Vodafone network or any other operatorÕs network.

 

Definitions

ÒStand Alone PackagesÓ mean the other services of Vodafone Ghana apart from Vodafone X

"the Subscriber" shall mean the person who uses the Vodafone X Service.

ÒWe/Us/OurÓ means   Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited (Vodafone Ghana)

ÒYouÓ refer to the Subscriber.

ÒDay timeÓ is from 5am to 11.59pm and ÒNight timeÓ is from 12am to 4.59am

General Terms and Conditions

 

            i.                  This Service is for Prepaid Mobile Subscribers only.

         ii.                  The Service is targeted at Subscribers between the ages of 15 and 24 years.

      iii.                  This Service is for personal use not for business.

        iv.                  You can deregister from the Service at any time by dialling *5888# and select ÔDeregisterÕ.

           v.                  You will lose all the Service benefits when you deregister.

        vi.                  You enjoy double bonus on all top ups and bonus top up is valid for 7days.

     vii.                  You cannot subscribe to Premium Codes/Value Added Services with your bonus credit. This can only be done with your primary balance.

  viii.                  Once you subscribe to this Service, you cannot enjoy the benefits of any other Vodafone tariff service at the same time. To enjoy any other Vodafone promotional offer, you will have to deregister from the current Service; by either activating the new tariff offer (by dialling the direct code number of the new offer) or unsubscribing (by dialling the de-registration code number) and then subscribing to the new offer.

        ix.                  You can still enjoy free night calls to other Vodafone numbers with a charge 26p/ 30 minutes from 12 midnight.  to 5.59am

           x.                  You can continue to subscribe for supporting offers such data packages, Blackberry packages, International packages, SMS packages, Value Added Services packages and roaming packages.

        xi.                  You can also subscribe unto Family & Friends while enjoying this Service.

     xii.                  We reserve the right to set reasonable limits to the free offers in accordance with fair usages policies.

  xiii.                  We reserve the right to recycle numbers that are dormant for more than 180 days and sell same to other interested Subscribers. Vodafone shall not be responsible for any claims, costs, and liabilities howsoever arising from exercising its rights hereunder.

    xiv.                  We reserve the right to send information to you via SMS to the MSISDN supplied by us. These SMSÕ may be for information purposes only. We may also send notices to you by way of advertisement in a daily newspaper, SMS, or through the Vodafone Website and/or by using any other suitable means.

       xv.                  You accept that we may disclose or receive personal information or documents about you:-

á      to and from local and international law enforcement or any competent regulatory or governmental agencies to assist in the prevention, detection or prosecution of criminal activities or fraud;

á      to and from our service providers or any other company that may be or become our subsidiary, parent company or partner) for reasonable commercial purposes connected to your use of the mobile service or the Vodafone Service, such as marketing and research related purposes;

á      to facilitate our ability to fulfil legal, governmental or regulatory requirements;

xvi         We reserve the right to vary at any time with or without notice to you these Terms and Conditions or the Fees. Variations will be notified by way of advertisement in a daily newspaper, SMS, or through our Website and or by using any other suitable means provided that you shall be deemed to have been notified of any such variations regardless that the same may not have actually come to your attention. Any variation in fees shall become effective after 7 days of such publication or notice.

Xvii       By partaking in any activity organized by Vodafone X, you agree that we reserve the right to use your image, video footage and any other information captured at the said event for our publications in print, online, TV, etc.
